KORDA was born out of creative necessity and musical growth. The group, consisting of Jonas Renkse (Katatonia, Bloodbath) Joakim Karlsson (Craft) and Anders Eriksson have known each other and worked together for many years in various capacities – often sending creative ideas to each other that never really fit any of their other outfits.

With the world going into various stages of lockdown during 2020, the three members all had the majority of their touring and musical duties cancelled, but found solace in those stems and ideas that kept on being sent to each other. Soon, those ideas grew into actual songs and it was decided to focus the efforts into something more concrete. KORDA was born.

The first sign of life was in the form of the double hitter Sialia/Chrome Eyes. Originally released very lowkey on the official KORDA Soundcloud and Youtube page, the response was immediate and the demand for a wider release led to this press release and the addition of the songs to streaming platforms.
